This statement applies to westsussexcountycouncil.blogspot.com.
This website is run by West Sussex County Council (WSCC). We want as many people as possible to be able to use it. For example, this means you should be able to:

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliance issues listed below.
Non-accessible content
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations includes the following:
1. Issues with contrast
The text used in the cookie banner does not meet contrast requirements against the background colour of the banner. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.3 (Contrast (minimum)).
2. Issues with documents
Documents we link to may not meet accessibility standards. This doesn’t meet WCAG 2.2 success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value).
3. HTML issues
There are some issues with the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) behind web pages which defines the meaning and structure of the content. These issues may make it harder for some users to navigate the website. This doesn’t meet WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships) and WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.1.1 (Keyboard):
- Non-distinguishable landmarks
- Content not included in landmarks
4. Issues with zooming
When zooming in text can spill off screen. This doesn’t meet WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.10 (Reflow).
How we tested this website
This website was tested using automated tools such as WAVE, Siteimprove and Lighthouse. A manual test was also completed, which included use of the NVDA screen reader.
